Superintendent's Message

Superintendent's Message [1]

Greetings Parents and Guardians,

As the newly appointed superintendent of Quitman County School District, I would like to welcome you to Quitman County School District’s 2021-2022 school term. We have bravely navigated the difficulties brought on by the pandemic, and unfortunately, this school year has started with similar concerns as the Delta variant affects the school age population.

I know that as a parent you have concerns about sending your children to the typical classroom setting. The Mississippi Department of Education has mandated face-to-face instruction by all public schools in the state. Our students need face-to-face instruction, so we can address the immense learning loss that has occurred during the last two years.

Parents, I want to inform and comfort you. We will follow the CDC guidelines and provide the safest environment possible for our students. This includes but is not limited to mask wearing, building sanitizing, bus sanitation, social distancing, and hand washing.

As our previous superintendent, I will do my best to keep you informed concerning all aspects of the educational setting. We will be reaching out to some of our parents to become involved in our P-16 Council. Some of you will be called on to participate. This is your opportunity to get involved in helping to make the decisions that will affect student learning.  Even if you are not a member of the council, I have an open door policy. As much as possible, whenever you need to contact me, please call or come by my office. We are looking forward to a great school year with your cooperation.

Dr. Fredrick Robinson, Superintendent
